dedicated and knowledgeable, Daila displays competence,
confidence and grace in her demanding professional and
personal life. A mentor and manager, her cheerful can-do
attitude makes her an excellent ambassador for Salmon Arm, and
role-model to others. |

Braby Community Spirit Award

Rosemarie Vennard
A caring, energetic volunteer, Rosemarie has
always been deeply involved in our community: “you name it,
she’s participated” with her abundant generosity and
compassion. Her strong work ethic, and nurturing generous
heart has greatly impacted the lives of countless, resulting
in ripples of positive effects from Rosemarie’s volunteer
lifestyle. |

Lynne Wickett
Lynne is well respected and admired as a role
model, mentor and leader to many. Her tireless boundless
energy, enthusiasm and unflagging dedication to enhancing the

This award recognizes an outstanding woman who inspires and
mentors others through involvement in voluntary community programs or
organizations, or philanthropic endeavours. She has shown her
dedication by creating, participating in or adapting programs to meet
community needs in the areas of social services, community building
and human rights. 2012 Recipient: Rosemarie Vennard
Young Woman

This award recognizes an outstanding young woman between 18 and 29,
respected and admired for her leadership, achievements and
contribution to her school, workplace and/or community and is a
positive influence on her peers. She has shown perseverance, maturity,

Nomination
Criteria
Nominees must be at least 18 years of
age and currently reside in the Shuswap and have lived here for a
minimum of one year. Previous nominees may be re-nominated (previously
called Shuswap Woman of the Year Awards). All nominees must accept
the nomination and agree to be present for
It’s All About Women Evening
Gala in order for the nomination to proceed. There is no
provision for posthumous nominations
Selection
Process
All nominations are reviewed and
adjudicated by the Selection Committee. The committee is comprised of
a diverse group of women whose decision will be based solely on the
information provided in the
Nomination Package.
