Terry Downs
Founder, Pink Dogs™.

Terri DownsOur motto is "Healthy Women. Healthy Dogs. "

Pink Dogs™ was created to inspire, educate and empower women to include their dogs in a healthy and active lifestyle while staying safe along the way. We are creating a network of women working together to be active, healthy and feel inspired to gain control of their dogs and their lives. Through ebooks, seminars and outdoor activities we address the concerns women have regarding owning and managing their 4 legged family members.

We focus on the issues that are important to women dog owners and include tips and techniques to assist in keeping you and your dog safe while you venture outdoors. We include hands on techniques based upon self defense and police defense tactics to help you to stay safe and keep away those that are a threat to you and your dog.

As a former dog handler with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, a business owner for the last ten years focused on dog behavior, training and management, and published author of The Women’s Lifestyle Guide To Raising A Dog, my focus is on inspiring women to learn how to connect and gain control of your dog so you will feel inspired to gain control of your life. Kisa Bomstad
Kix 4 Chix Fitness Kamloops

Kisa BomstadMy name is Kisa Bomstad, I am 30 years old and have been a business owner for the last 15 years. I had and still have a very successful painting company for over 12 years in Williams Lake, I worked in an all male environment and understand the challenges that women face today in the quest to gain their independence. I am passionate about helping all girls and women to embrace themselves and each other and also to help them find their own inner strengths. I have also faced many of my own challenges and have grown significantly by embracing them and seeing them as stepping stones on my own personal journey.

I am now the owner and instructor for Kix 4 Chix Fitness Kamloops which has been in operation in Kamloops since January of 2008. It originated in Williams Lake in 2005 and is in the process of being franchised. Our goal in franchising the company is to share the opportunity we have with other women; in empowering and inspiring all women and girls of every shape, age and background.

The Kix 4 Chix Fitness program is embraced and loved because it is non-competitive, and the environment is high energy and fun. The workout leaves you feeling invigorated and strong, and most feel a sense of euphoria afterwards as their daily stresses fade away.

We believe the best self-defence out there is confidence and being able to stand tall and strong and look everyone straight in the eye.

As our lifestyles change and evolve we believe that now is the time to come together to make an impact for ourselves and for our children. There is no better time than right now to take your life back into your own hands, and start to make positive changes that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. I believe that if you can first change yourself, you can change the world. Lead by example, be strong, practice integrity and love and I know life will give you all the best it has to offer!

I hope to see you out there getting active, having fun and embracing your life!

Nicole Neuert
Kix 4 Chix Fitness Kamloops

Nic NeuertMy name is Nicole Neuert. I am a mother of 2 girls.
Ten years ago, I began kick boxing for my own physical fitness. When we moved to Williams Lake, five years ago, I opened Ladies Only Kickboxing. The response to this business was overwhelming. Feedback from women was very positive and so I decided to expand my business as a way to reach out to more women. I acquired a partner and Kix 4 Chix was born.

The philosophy behind our company is to empower women by providing them with a facility that is non judgmental; where they can workout, learn new skills and relax. Kix 4 Chix is a place where all women are welcomed and supported to help them achieve their individual goals. Now, more than ever, women need positive role models to appreciate their own value and worth. Kix 4 Chix is dedicated to bringing out the best in women and helping them bond in a friendly, non competitive environment.

Kix 4 Chix has been an empowering growth experience for me as a woman. And it has been a wonderful business opportunity while enriching the lives of countless women, and promoting strong community spirit.
